2007 marks the fourth anniversary of the drinks business awards and, in terms of excellence and quantity of entry, our awards continue to grow.
Once again the standard of submissions rose in many of the categories and we were delighted to have such a strong response to the new awards we introduced this year, especially Independent Retailer and Best Low Budget Campaign. the drinks business awards have solidly established themselves as the UK’s leading drinks industry awards and have achieved their original objective: to recognise and salute excellence across the trade.
Again entries were up in number but what impressed our judges most was the diversity. This year’s awards attracted the greatest spread of entries yet from the beer, wine and spirits industry, the results of which are reflected in our winners.
I would like to thank the sponsors of this year’s awards for their continued and invaluable support and also our impressive panel of judges, drawn from across the trade. Without their contribution, time and expertise we would not be able to boast that 2007 is perhaps our best year ever.
We hope you will agree that this year’s winners are highly deserving of the accolade.
