A ‘lucky’ Irish lager infused with shamrocks now exists

A 4.5% ABV Irish lager brand, named Le Grá and infused with shamrocks for luck has made its official debut in Dublin this week.

Le Grá, which means “with love” in Irish, has been brewed with 100% Irish ingredients and has been released by the independent London-based company Le Grá Beer Ltd to capture “the true spirit and enchantment of the Emerald Isle” but has been “brewed in Dublin”.

The beer, which according to the company has been “infused with real shamrocks for a touch of ancient Irish luck” sports a four-leaf clover logo on its bottle to represent “the virtues of faith, hope, love, and luck that have forever guided the Irish people”.

Speaking about the launch, Le Grá Beer founder Sean Casey said: “With Le Grá, we wanted to bottle the warmth, camaraderie, and unbreakable spirit that flows through the Emerald Isle. From our 100% Irish ingredients to the shamrocks used during brewing, every aspect honours our rich heritage and the enchantment surrounding Irish lore.”

According to Casey, Le Grá has “a rich, smooth taste with subtle fruit notes and an incredibly crisp, refreshing finish. But more than what’s in the glass, this authentic lager celebrates the values at the heart of Irish culture”..

The official Le Grá launch celebration took place this week in the heart of Dublin at The Morgan Hotel’s Temple Bar location where guests had the opportunity to experience the luck of Le Grá first-hand by indulging in the first pours while enjoying live Irish music, entertainment, and appearances by special guests.

Casey added: “Let the spirit of Ireland flow as we toast to where ancient tradition meets the art of modern brewing. The luck of Le Grá awaits!”

Le Grá will be available across Ireland from 10 May at retailers, bars, and pubs, while its distribution across Britain will follow in the summer.
