Monastrell Masterclass – 14 October
Join us on 14th October to delve into the world of Monastrell, the fourth most planted red grape variety in Spain, also known as Mourvèdre. Presented by Patrick Schmitt MW, the masterclass will highlight the versatility of this special grape and some high-quality examples of wines made from this variety. A walk-around tasting will follow the masterclass, running from 3.30pm-4.30pm, with 40+ wines on pour.

Monastrell Spain is a non-profit association created in 2019 by five regulatory councils from SouthEast Spain, from the Designations of Origin (DO) Alicante, Almansa, Bullas, Jumilla, and Yecla. 99% of the plantations of the variety are locations in the regions of Murcia, Castilla-La Mancha and Comunidad Valencia. For this reason, the five regulatory councils are focusing on this grape variety and have joined forces to make it known at a national and international level.
