Luis Felipe Edwards has been producing wines since 1976 and is a globally recognised force in the export of Chilean wines. This wine is a tribute to the producer’s ‘360-degree’ approach in terms of looking from the Andes to the Pacific for exclusive sites for different varieties. Deep ruby-purple in colour, the wine is dense, with black fruit and dark chocolate, plus tobacco and forest floor accents. Full-bodied and richly flavoured, the palate shows crisp acidity, pronounced tannins and warming alcohol, with a bit of menthol coming through on the finish. This is a wine suited to southern-style pit-cooked barbecue. (Patricia Stefanowicz MW)
