Tasting notes:
Rive Col di San Martino comes from the centre section of the ConeglianoValdobbiadene, where altitudes are around 300m–500m and slopes are steep. The name marks the 26th year of Andreola and the handing over of the company from founder Nazzareno Pola to his son Stefano. This wine, pale lemongreen in hue with persistent perlage, exhibits white peach and white cherry fruit with light floral and gentle yeast accents. Dry (zero dosage), the concentrated but light, elegant palate is framed by lively acidity and creamy mousse texture. A subtle chalky note follows through on the back-palate and finish, suggesting that the wine will match rolled sole fillets stuffed with roasted red peppers and served on a bed of cucumber.
