What do you need to know about Adnams and wine buying?
We are recruiting for an exciting role as a Wine Buyer. Not only do we make amazing award winning beers and spirits from our home in Southwold, we also have an extensive range of wines which we sell not only online but in our lovely shops across the region and sell in our stunning pubs and hotels. Our small but perfectly formed buying team understand the value of every supplier and customer and work hard to maintain these relationships.
What do we want?
We want you to be the ‘face of Adnams wines’, with your strong knowledge of wines and ability to speak and write French you will embrace every opportunity to manage relationships with existing suppliers and some that have been supplying Adnams for several generations. You will be representing Adnams in respect of our wines on a number of trade and corporate bodies. Your previous experience of building strong relationships will enable you to seek new suppliers for products from both our retail division and also trade sales.
You will present potential new wines, which meet both current and future trends, so a strong previous experience of wine buying for both trade and retail is essential. Which will include providing all support in respect of wines, including tasting notes, advice, and hosting wine makers. The role will also entail a number of visits to our suppliers and also fairs mainly in Europe and but include some in other parts of the world.
