Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Distribution of daily / weekly tasks amongst the team to ensure smooth running of the shop and that shop standards are met.
Opening the shop at the start of the day, and securing the premises at the end of trading, as well as completing relevant end of day (EOD) procedures.
Monitoring pricing, price labels and promotions, ensuring they are up-to-date and new labels are produced as required.
Ensuring all staff members deliver a high standard of customer service, and new staff have fully completed training programmes.
Handling customer complaints and issues where possible, escalating to a manager if necessary.
Processing customer refunds, exchanges, and purchases from private sellers.
Managing change levels in till drawers, and placing weekly change orders.



2. Retail Duties
Greeting and assisting customers, as well as building and strengthening relationships with regular and high-net-worth individuals.
Making recommendations and guiding customers in their decision, and offering samples where available and appropriate.
Ordering items for customers that are available on the website but not in stock in the shop.
Handling and completing engraved bottle orders, ensuring they are completed and ready to collect in time for agreed deadlines.
Processing sales, handling cash and card transactions and issuing correct change.
3. Stock Management
Informing a manager of any discrepancies between physical stock levels and what is shown on ePOS.
Notifying a manager of any faulty or damaged equipment.
Notifying a manager of stock or sundries shortages.
Replenishing stock levels on the shelves, and rotating any late-dated BBE stock.
Assist with the receiving  of deliveries.
Notifying a manager of any urgent stock requirements or sudden demand.
3. Administrative Duties
Completing opening, closing and daily checklists.
Handling private tasting enquiries, taking details and completing paperwork.
Ensuring that all visual merchandising is kept clear and tidy, with up-to-date promotions in place.
3. Other
  Assisting with the set-up and breakdown of private and monthly tasting events.
  Continual development of product knowledge of existing product range, as well as keeping track of new products and releases.

Salary:  Between 19.5k and 22k  depending on experience.

Contract:  Full-Time
