We specialise in the on-trade and independent off-trade, supplying a wide range of customers from owner-operated establishments, fine-dining and Michelin-starred restaurants to gastro pubs, catering companies and restaurant groups. In the off-trade we work with a network of independent retailers, wholesalers, regional and Fine Wine merchants located throughout the UK. We also have an experienced Private Client department who offer customers expert advice and guidance on all aspects of Fine Wine including En Primeur purchasing and specialist long term storage.

We are looking to recruit a dynamic sales professional with a proven track record of sustained sales achievement to work alongside our existing regional sales team and assist in the planning and delivery of strategic objectives. The sales territory for this role will encompass the whole of Scotland.

The role requires a self-motivated, highly experienced and well-connected wine industry sales professional with the ability to devise, develop and implement strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Securing profitable new business both directly and indirectly for the off-trade/regional team primarily via regional wholesalers, independent off-trade and large regional on-trade accounts
  • Building volume of key agencies
  • Creating customer acquisition and retention programmes
  • Managing and developing existing accounts and overseeing specific commercial arrangements (i.e. pricing, contracts and distribution) for strategic customers

 

Requisite Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a UK off-trade & on-trade focused premium wine sales role
  • Proven track record of delivering sales and volume growth
  • Capacity to maximize existing relationships to introduce new customers
  • Ability to achieve challenging targets
  • Detailed wine knowledge (WSET Diploma level)

 

This is a fulltime role requiring flexibility to work around the commitments of the business. The successful candidate will ideally live centrally within their designated sales territory.
