Founded in 1981, Domaine Direct is a highly regarded independent wine merchant specialising in the direct import of domaine-bottled Burgundies from growers that are renowned and respected throughout the world. We also carry a range of wines from the Loire, Champagne, Italy, California, New Zealand and Australia, where we are the   UK agents for Leeuwin Estate.

We are looking for an energetic, hardworking salesperson to develop our London on-trade restaurant business. He/she will inherit an existing restaurant client base which will need maintaining and developing, but will also be required to target new business and act as an ambassador for the company, endeavouring to promote and develop the business.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with an extremely prestigious portfolio in the dynamic London restaurant scene and to make a significant contribution to the success of the Domaine Direct business through substantial sales.

Experience and key skills required:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ sales experience. Must have proven selling skills, with evidence of delivering profitable new business
  • Self-driven, results-orientated, with a positive outlook
  • Committed enthusiasm for fine wines and for selling them
  • Good product knowledge, ideally with extensive experience of the wines of Burgundy
  • Self-confident and personable
  • Excellent communication skills with customers and with colleagues
  • Analytical and numerate
  • Strong administration skills – need to be organised and efficient.
