Key Purpose of the Job:

To manage and develop existing and prospective direct accounts across multiple off trade channels; develop brand legacy by achieving increased sales, distribution and profit targets for the whole Lanson International UK portfolio across a broad spectrum of targeted customers.


Key Responsibilities:

Planning and Sales Development

  1. Manage and develop a network of existing and prospective Independent Retailers, Online Specialists and Fine Wine Brokers predominantly in London.
  2. Work closely with colleagues to support key Champagne stores across selected Multiple Retailers throughout the UK, but predominantly inside the M25.
  3. Manage the Independent and Regional Cash & Carry Sector in major conurbations across the UK.
  4. Develop ongoing trading with the Prestige Department Stores in London, though agreeing key activations and joint commercial planning.


  1. Keep all account records, databases and management/planning documents up to date.
  2. Keep up to date with all relevant Nielsen data, company, marketing and product information.
  3. Ensure good, frequent and open communication with all Lanson team colleagues through appropriate methods.
  4. Ensure excellent standards of customer interaction.
  5. Submit all reports, requests and correspondence in a timely manner with copies as required to the agreed standard.


  1. Ensure excellent levels of team work in self and others.
  2. Work using own initiative and use judgment to seek advice and support as necessary.
  3. Attend and positively contribute to all sales and channel meetings.
  4. Act as a host with customers at key events, acting as an ‘ambassador’ for Lanson International UK.
  5. Seek opportunities for continuous personal development.
  6. Undertake special duties/projects as required.


Key Performance Indicators

Holders of this position will be expected to achieve specific targets set against each of the following KPIs:

  1. The individual NAE annual Champagne Lanson sales volume / NNSV budget.
  2. The individual NAE annual Besserat de Bellefon sales volume /NNSV budget.
  3. The individual NAE annual Tsarine sales volume /NNSV budget.
  4. The individual NAE annual challenger and agency volume and NNSV budget.
  5. Follow the company’s core brand strategy within the nominated sector.
  6. Keep within the expenses budgetary targets for your area.
  7. Merchandising in store and shop windows.
  8. Hosting a number of client events per annum.

Specific KPI metrics will be discussed and recorded separately.
