Finca El Origen Estate Blend: the art of assemblage

Argentine wine producer Finca El Origen has released the second vintage of its estate blend using a bespoke label to communicate the creative processes behind assembling the wine.

The first vintage of Finca el Origen’s Estate Blend, made from Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec, was the 2014, with the second 2015 vintage receiving a bespoke label designed by wine artist Gonzalo Bertelsen and plastics artist Andrés Casciani.

“Since in Finca el Origen we subscribe to this artistic conception of blends, we decided to pay tribute to the art of assemblage through the wine’s label”, said the producer in a press release.

“The image for this wine represents the way in which the sea and the land joined to create the amazing Andes mountain range, whose soil conceals fossilized sea treasures that today are proof of its formation. In the same way, this blend is the treasure arising from merging two powerful varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, the king of red varieties, and Malbec, the queen and sovereign of Argentina.”
