The drinks business is proud to announce the Prosecco Masters 2019

The Prosecco boom which began in 2013 has shown little signs of slowing and we want to celebrate these exciting wines which come from the picturesque regions of Veneto and Friuli.

As with all of the drinks business awards, our judging panel is comprised of Masters of Wine, Master Sommeliers and senior buyers making the competition globally renowned.

Wines will be judges on their style and price.

The Global Pinot Grigio / Pinot Gris Masters 2019

The Global Pinot Grigio / Pinot Gris Masters 2019 You can now enter your Pinot Grigio/ Pinot Gris into The Drinks Business Global Masters competition.

This blind competition will identify the best Pinot Gris / Pinot Grigio from all around the world in every price range. Unlike other international competitions, The Global Masters series is judged by grape variety rather than country. Every wine will be measured on the taste of its grape and the skill of its winemaker. All Global Masters are judged blind by the finest palates in the world – a panel of Masters of Wine, Master Sommeliers and senior buyers only.

The best competing wines will be awarded medals from Bronze through to Gold, and ultimately “Master” for exceptional examples. The calibre of the judges guarantees international recognition of all the medals awarded.

Now in its seventh year, the competition will recognise and reward the finest Riojas on the world stage. A panel of leading industry experts will judge the wines submitted in a blind tasting to discover the best examples from this incredible region in six categories:

  • Joven
  • Crianza
  • Reserva
  • Gran Reserva
  • Vinos de autor
  • Rioja 15 years and older

The judging panel, chaired by the drinks business, will be composed exclusively of Master of Wine, Master Sommeliers and buyers. The panel will award the best wines with medals from Bronze through to Gold, with the opportunity to be rewarded a Master for exceptional wines. The results will be published in the Spanish Report and The Drinks Business Hong Kong edition.
