The competition will recognise and reward the finest Pinot Noirs on the world stage.

All Global Masters are judged blind by the finest palates in the world – a panel of Masters of Wine, Master Sommeliers and senior buyers only. The best competing wines are awarded medals from Bronze through to Gold, and ultimately “Master” for exceptional examples.

The calibre of the judges guarantees international recognition of all the medals awarded.

The Asian Sparkling Masters 2017

the drinks business Hong Kong announces its first year of The Asian Sparkling Masters. All wines entered will be judged exclusively by style and price. The judging panel, chaired by the drinks business Hong Kong, will be composed of leading wine experts, sommeliers and senior buyers. The Wines will be tasted blind and the panel will award the best wines with medals from Bronze through to Gold, with the opportunity to berewarded a Master for exceptional wines.

The results of the Asian Sparkling Masters will be published in the drinks business Hong Kong magazine.

Rioja Masters 2017

Now in its sixth year, the competition will recognise and reward the finest Riojas on the world stage. A panel of leading industry experts will judge the wines submitted in a blind tasting to discover the best examples from this incredible region in six categories:

  • Joven
  • Crianza
  • Reserva
  • Gran Reserva
  • Vinos de autor
  • Rioja 15 years and older

The judging panel, chaired by the drinks business, will be composed exclusively of Master of Wine, Master Sommeliers and buyers. The panel will award the best wines with medals from Bronze through to Gold, with the opportunity to be rewarded a Master for exceptional wines. The results will be published in the Spanish Report and The Drinks Business Hong Kong edition.

  • Once you have paid our entry fees, you will be sent a link to enter your pitch. You can write up to 500 words for each category on why you should win and upload support material. The deadline for submissions is 15th September 2017

 

3. Awards ceremony

  • Winners will be announced on 9th November 2017. Entry to the ceremony is free of charge for all entrants (subject to capacity).

 

4. Publication of results

  • Results will be published in the December/January issue of the Drinks Business HK magazineissue and will be announced on our website shortly after the ceremony.
