Sales of Ty Nant water rocket by 270%
Ty Nant Natural Mineral Water, a long-term partner of the drinks business, saw sales rocket by 270% in 2022 and plans to triple its turnover in 2023.
With db carrying out more than 25 blind tasting ‘Masters’ competitions this year, covering everything from Chardonnay and Sangiovese to fortified wine, having ample water (and of exceptional purity) to hand is indispensable for our experienced judging panels.
Ty Nant Natural Mineral Water is taken from a pure Welsh hamlet in the foothills of the Cambrian mountains, with the rugged terrain filtering the water naturally through rock formations to give a pure, refreshing taste with well-balanced mineral composition. The provenance of the Ty Nant Estate, which spans more than 200 acres of wild organic Welsh countryside, is at the heart of what makes its mineral water so special.
So it’s little surprise that Ty Nant has become the fastest growing drinks company in the UK, seeing a 270% increase in sales in 2022 compared with 2021 and representing a two-year compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of more than 104%.
The brand’s success has been achieved through focusing on the premium hospitality sector in the UK, as well as in retail and wholesale.
Ty Nant has also expanded its export business, and is now distributed in over 20 countries worldwide, with customers including Wagamama’s and Tattu restaurants, as well as key sponsorships such as the Laver Cup tennis tournament and The Master Chefs of Great Britain.
Its parent company, the Ty Nant Group, is a distinguished collection of super-premium British brands. The group last year acquired the Pentland Still distillery in Edinburgh, Scotland.
The Pentland Still produces Kings Hill Gin, a super-premium gin that is sold in John Lewis, among other retailers. This acquisition was a strategic move by the Ty Nant Group to expand its portfolio of luxury brands and mark the Ty Nant Group’s entry into in the super premium spirits market.
Ty Nant expects to triple its turnover in 2023.
Chairman, Raminder Sidhu said: “This impressive achievement is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team, as well as our commitment to sustainability and the highest quality products. As we look to the future, The Ty Nant Group remains committed to our rapid growth plan and expanding our portfolio of luxury brands. We are excited for the continued growth and success of the company.”
