Yes, replacing Monopoly’s original street names with famous locations in Napa Valley, including a great many wine references, Monopoly Napa Valley edition has officially landed.

The edition features “representations of much-loved Napa Valley cultural sites, historic landmarks, and time-honored businesses, alongside customized Community Chest and Chance playing cards to ensure each detail of the game pays homage to the iconic wine region destination,” according to an announcement.

In a probably sensible move that takes controversy among wineries out of the equation, the most expensive square is reserved for the famous Grape Crusher statue.

Famous Napa fixtures including Napa Cellars, Hall Wines, Jam Cellars, Frank Family Vineyards, Beringer Vineyards, and Sterling Vineyards find their way onto the board, while Napa Cellars finds its way into the Community Chest cards, which, per Food and Wine, read:

The sun is shining and Napa Cellars is calling. Make a reservation for a picnic amongst the vines. Pay 150,” and “Napa Cellars consulted you to craft the next vintage. Collect 200.”

Jennifer Tripsea, a representative for Top Trumps USA, said:

“We’re thrilled to launch Monopoly Napa Valley Edition in time for the holidays and to celebrate one of the most beloved, culturally rich and geographically beautiful wine regions in the world. We’ve spent months creating a portrayal of the area’s dynamic communities that we hope locals and visitors alike will enjoy for years to come.

“We’ve incorporated important feedback from locals to truly make this a fun and engaging game for Napa Valley residents and beyond.”

Former Disney Studios president and Frank Family Vineyards founder, Rich Frank, added:

“We love a good story and are a nostalgic bunch at Frank Family Vineyards. We could not be more thrilled to have a prominent position on this board next to other iconic wineries such as Beringer and Sterling.

“Like classic Cabernet vintages, Monopoly transcends generations, and we love that Hasbro has licensed a special limited-edition for Napa Valley wine lovers and game collectors alike.”

The Napa Valley Edition Monopoly board game is available to purchase for US$44.99.
