ProWine Shanghai to postpone due to Covid restrictions
ProWine Shanghai has revealed plans to reschedule to new dates due to the city’s epidemic prevention policy.
Initially set to be held from 8-10 November, ProWine Shanghai is now due to postpone to 20-22 November due to the government regulations on exhibitions’ epidemic prevention and control, and for the interest of physical health of exhibitors and visitors. The location of the show will remain unchanged at Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC).
The ProWine Shanghai team is in close communication and coordination with relevant departments and all partners involved to create the best and the most professional exhibition experience.
Arriving at its 10th edition this year, the organiser will continue to present an exciting line up of exhibitors, including significant trade organisations such as Business France and Wines of Portugal. Meanwhile, Japan Sake and Shochu Makers Association and other overseas pavilions will be present at ProWine Shanghai 2022. The booth area of the Japanese pavilion is three times as large as that of last year. A host of well-known overseas independent exhibitors such as Grands Chais de France (GCF), Henkell Freixenet (Germany), and Decanter have signed up for the trade fair. One of the leading quota providers for Bordeaux futures, Baoyun Group, will also make its debut at the fair with more than 60 wineries for which it serves as an agent, including over 40 renowned boutique wineries from Burgundy.
The show also provides a great opportunity for Chinese wine regions to shine. This year, the Yinchuan Wine Industry Development Service Center and Yinchuan Wine Association, will introduce a variety of Chinese fine wines to ProWine Shanghai 2022. Both institutions have attended the exhibition for three consecutive years, enabling more people to experience the terroir at the east foothills of the Helan Mountain in Yinchuan, Ningxia, and learn about the achievements of Yinchuan wines. Also, the Penglai Coast Wine Region received positive feedback at the exhibition last year. Penglai Coast Wine Region will attend ProWine Shanghai again this year to let more people know about the terroir and beauty of Penglai coastal wines. UCW will also bring a number of Chinese wineries, including those in Helan Mountain’s East Foothill Wine Region, showcase fine wines.
Meanwhile, there are other wine shows taking place this November, including China biggest wine and spirit trade show China Food & Drinks Fair (CFDF) – which will combine its spring and autumn editions and hold the fair at Chengdu from 10-12 November this year – Interwine Shenzhen and Vinitaly China Roadshow.
