The week in pictures
This week in the world of drinks: The Hidden Sea wines unveils a striking installation at SailGP Portsmouth, Searcys launches a unique Champagne Coupé, and Bowmore releases a ‘designed by Aston Martin’ collection.
As part of its collaboration with SailGP, The Hidden Sea wines unveiled a striking installation at the race’s Portsmouth event. Benjamin Von Wong’s Switch Off The Plastic Tap was snapped last weekend at SailGP Portsmouth.
The Hidden Sea wine has joined forces with SailGP to raise awareness of climate change and ocean health, and remove plastic from the ocean as part of its goal to take 1 billion plastic bottles out of the ocean by 2030.
Restaurateur and caterer Searcys has unveiled its ‘Champagne Coupé’ – a 1935 Rolls Royce that has been converted into a fully working mobile Champagne bar. The Searcys Champagne Coupé is available to hire for weddings, celebrations and events across the brand’s portfolio.
Commenting on the Champagne Coupé, Searcys Managing Director Paul Jackson says: “Searcys is synonymous with champagne, with links to fizz dating back to 1893 so it’s only fitting that we mark our 175th year with our very own vintage Champagne Coupé. Searcys and Rolls Royce are historical British brands with a similar ethos – the luxury automobile maker’s slogan is “Whatever is rightly done, however humble, is noble” which complements Searcys’ founder John Searcy’s personal approach. Adding to our event portfolio, the Searcys Champagne Coupé is a great addition to parties and weddings – we can’t wait to see it in action.”
And Islay single malt producer Bowmore has teamed up with luxury car maker Aston Martin to unveil the limited edition ‘designed by Aston Martin’ collection.
The collection features three Global Travel Retail (GTR) exclusive whiskies. Bowmore 10, 15 and 18-Year-Old single malts have been matched with legendary Aston Martin vehicles to provide the design inspiration.
Exclusive to Global Travel Retail from August 2022, Bowmore will celebrate the brand-new and limited-edition Designed by Aston Martin range with in-store activations in a total of 17 airports across the globe, including priority locations such as London Heathrow, Frankfurt, Hainan Sanya and Taiwan.
