Returning for the first in-person event in three years, London Wine Fair is back – spanning three days at London’s Olympia from 7-9 June with a two-day digital fair taking place later this month.

The show promises a packed schedule of events including walk-up tastings, masterclasses, a trading floor, industry briefings, a discovery zone to learn about the latest technological advancements in wine, a homegrown showcase of British wines, and much more.

The drinks business will be present at the fair at stand G-36. We are also hosting a walk-up Delle Venezie masterclass, which will take place on Tuesday (tomorrow) at 12.30pm. Hosted by Patrick Schmitt MW, the session will explore the diversity of wines in this DOC and how the stringent control measure are guaranteeing maximum enjoyment for consumers.

The Pinot Grigio DOC Delle Venezie denomination brings together Pinot Grigio from Veneto, Trentino and Venezia Giulia, which made up the historical region of the Trevenezie.

Excitingly, The Drinks Business Awards Ceremony will also take place at the fair, at 4pm in the Olympia Room on Wednesday 8 June.

France will be well represented this year, as the annual Bourgogne and Chablis tasting sets its scene at the fair tomorrow (Tuesday 7 June). Roughly 40 wine producers will come together to create a pop-up marketplace and tasting venue, complete with food stalls, which will take up the entire west side of the Gallery and adjoining Gallery Suite rooms.

The show’s organiser, Hannah Tovey, thinks that this year’s line-up of events and exhibitors is “the strongest [it has been] in many years”.

“Our strapline for this year is ’the most intelligent wine event of its kind’ – and I want that to come across,” she added.
