Lucky Saint becomes first alcohol-free draught partner of the Kia Oval

Lucky Saint has partnered with London sporting ground Kia Oval to provide its alcohol-free draught beer at the English cricket stadium.

Speaking to db, Lucky Saint founder Luke Boase highlighted how synonymous beer was to sports fans enjoying their day, but reminded how you could be a teetotaller and still participate in that sense of summer spectator joy and stated: “Cold pints and a day at the cricket are the epitome of English summertime. Partnering with The Kia Oval means more sports fans can go alcohol-free when choosing a great tasting pint on draught.”

Lucky Saint beer will be available on draught across three of the ground’s bars, as The Kia Oval becomes the first cricket ground in the UK to supply non-alcoholic beer on draught as well as cans ahead of a busy summer schedule. Cans will be available from every bar in the ground.

Boase told db: “Nothing beats the crisp satisfaction of a freshly poured pint with friends, and we’re looking forward to fans being welcomed into the stadium this summer with a cold one, all season long.”

Steve Elworthy, chief executive of Surrey County Cricket Club and The Kia Oval added: “Our crowds have long been an iconic part of English cricket, and it’s vital that we continually adapt to changing preferences. Partnering with Lucky Saint means we can offer our members and fans a quality non-alcoholic beer throughout the season, and we’re looking forward to having it available across The Kia Oval ground all summer.”

Lucky Saint will be available at the Kia Oval in cans from 14 April and on draught from 27 May throughout the season retailing at £6.

Last year, Lucky Saint closed a £3.5 million fundraiser from leaders across the FMCG and marketing industries. Lucky Saint shareholders now reportedly include: JamJar, the venture capital fund of the founders of Innocent Drinks; Warburtons chairman Jonathan Warburton; adam&eveDDB co-founders James Murphy and David Golding; Karmarama CEO Ben Bilboul; vice president of Facebook Northern Europe Steve Hatch; and Wahaca CEO and co-founder Mark Selby.
