Now, most airlines provide in-flight food on long-haul flights, but of course you can always bring your own snacks along for the ride to help pass the time and stay satiated during the tedium of air travel.

One woman certainly took the ‘bring your own’ thing to heart, though, after a photo of her astonishing lobster seafood in-flight meal went viral online.

According to reports, the incident occurred on a Spirit Airlines flight, during which the woman in question pulled out what looks like two large foil trays full of seafood.

With one tray comprising what looks like a large amount of lobster and the other filled with crab, prawns and vegetables, it’s certainly a meal that puts even the most lavish in-flight food service to shame.

The image was snapped on-board the flight and later shared to the sub-Reddit r/FlightAttendants.

There, commenters pointed out that the meal could potentially be dangerous if anyone on the flight had a seafood allergy, while others shuddered at the thought of the strong seafood smell.

“1. The smell 2. Could this be dangerous to someone sitting near who is allergic? 3. It’s just a bit rude to me 3. If they get turbulence that food is spilling everywhere 4. It’s so much food I’d imagine they’d be eating the whole time aka their masks would be off 5. It’s just messy, I can’t imagine the greasy ness they’ll leave behind.” One commenter wrote.

However, many others defended the woman, pointing out that she was not breaking any rules in the course of her actions.

Meanwhile, a flight attendant has revealed the best way to get free drinks during your next flight. You can read more on that story here.
