Man spotted carrying 48 pints at once while watching football match
A particularly generous man has gone viral online after he was spotted carrying 48 pints simultaneously while watching a football match – a feat that has seem him hailed as a hero.

What is the most pints you’ve ever carried, or attempted to carry for that matter?
Speaking personally, anything above three leaves me in a mild panic and stumbling around the bar like Bambi on rollerblades.
However, one man has blown all of our efforts out of the water, and made a fair few new friends in the process, after carrying a remarkable 48 pints of beer at once while watching a football match in the Netherlands.
FC Twente fan Christiaan Roetgering has garnered local legendary status by pulling off the feat, which he managed by stacking five full trays of pints atop one another.
Speaking to The Sun in the wake of his newfound fame, Roetgering said:
“I always go to the game with a group of friends, and each time one of us has the job of getting the beers in.
“This time it was my turn, and I didn’t fancy having to keep going back and forth to the bar. So I decided to get everything in one visit.
“I had to carry the trays through a passageway and up some stairs, but it all went fine. But it’s not a record – my friend Jochen has managed in the past to carry 50 beers in one go.
“I must have had 300 friend requests on Instagram. I was watching the highlights on TV on Sunday, and my phone just exploded.”
In the UK soon, this amount of beer will set one back even more than previously, as it’s been reported that prices are set to rise by up to 30p per pint.
