Wines from Spain launches Importers’ Highlights tasting
As part of its 2021 annual tasting programme, Wines from Spain will be running an Importers’ Highlights digital tasting featuring 120 wines from across the country.
Giving the UK trade and press the chance to try the wines, spanning Spain’s key DOs, from the comfort of their own homes, the tasting will highlight the latest vintages from the UK’s leading Spanish importers.
Click here for a full list of the importers taking part in the event. Wines from Spain is also running a digital events and masterclass programme for its 2021 annual tasting, which will take place until late June.
The events will showcase over 400 wines from 41 Spanish wine importers and exporters. Aimed at the UK trade and press, the series of digital tastings, webinars and masterclasses, running from April to June, focuses on new Spanish releases.
Among the events will be panel discussions and online tastings, along with sessions specifically aimed at the on-trade and independent sectors.
One of the tastings will be on Spanish wineries seeking representation, while another will explore the ‘hottest’ wine regions in the country right now.
There will also be a masterclasses on Garnacha and Tempranillo, and a talk on sustainability in Spanish winemaking.
An online catalogue will feature over 400 wines and offer visitors a sophisticated search tool to help them access the specific Spanish wines they’re looking for.
Visitors will be able to explore the wine list, view exhibitor portfolios and get in touch with Spanish wine importers and exporters directly.
Trade buyers and the press have the chance to register for a series of digital tastings and request samples from a list of highlights put forward by importers and exporters, enabling them to taste through the wines at their own time.
