Yes, among the veritable explosion of hard seltzer brands over the last few years, White Claw still packs a considerable punch when it comes to market clout and popularity.

And talking of packing a considerable punch, that’s exactly what it’s newly-announced seltzers will be packing – as they contain a higher ABV than previous incarnations.

The brand’s new ‘Surge’ variety come in cans (of course) that boast 8 percent ABV as opposed to the standard ABV of your typical White Claw product. The cans come in refreshing Blood Orange and Cranberry flavours.

What’s more, the beverages measure up at the larger size of an 18oz can, as compared to their standard 12oz counterparts. This, the brand says on its website, provides a “stronger wave of refreshment”.

The new ‘Surge’ cans will be available only as a single purchase, rather than in a pack, with a recommended retail price of $2.99.

And in yet more exciting White Claw news, fans will be delighted to learn that the brand is also launching a brand new variety pack – Flavour Collection No. 3. The pack will feature the already-released Mango flavour along with three new varieties ready for summer: Strawberry, Pineapple, and Blackberry. It’s worth mentioning that these cans will come in at the regular 5 percent ABV mark.
