As reported by The Mirror, the quirky pad in Salt Lake County, Utah, which boasts a lagoon-like swimming pool and private cinema, is on the market through property website Zillow.

Since the listing went live the house, described by Zillow as a “premiere luxury estate”, has become a social media sensation, with one Twitter user dubbing it a “medieval castle crossed with a McMansion and a Vegas-themed hotel.”

The property’s wine cellar has attracted a lot of attention on social media due to its creepy, cave-like appearance.

The cellar features slots in the cave walls in which to house wine bottles, and a tiny table for two beside an arched window where you can enjoy them.

The home has proved divisive on social media, with some saying it looks like it’s straight out of a ‘90s adventure game and would be ideal for murder mystery parties and others dubbing the mock gothic “vampire mansion” as “terrifying”.

“This is the kind of house that a whole other family could live in and you’d just never know, which is my worst nightmare,” one Twitter user said.
