CIVB appoints new US agency

The Conseil Interprofessionnel du Vin de Bordeaux (CIVB) has appointed Gregory + Vine as its public relations agency in the US for 2020 to 2022.

The agency will support the Bordeaux wine council with its PR and education campaigns in the US. The two-year partnership will focus on a “dynamic messaging campaign” and will promote the region’s wines and investment in sustainability as well as female and next generation winemakers.

Commenting on the partnership, Helen Gregory, founder and president of Gregory + Vine, said: “We are thrilled to represent France’s premier winemaking region in the US.

“Our campaign is about the people, winemakers and négociants/wine merchants behind today’s Bordeaux. We are excited to share their stories and support increased awareness of the region’s incredible range of wine.”

The agency, which is based in New York, Kansas City, and Madrid, will help CIVB to achieve its four main goals: to create strong consumer knowledge of the Bordeaux ‘brand’ and recruit new, younger drinkers; build knowledge and protect the quality of the region’s wines and anticipate changes in environmental and food safety legislation; provide data on the production, market and sales of Bordeaux wines; and protect the region’s vineyards, fight counterfeiting and help to further wine tourism.

Gregory + Vine specialises in supporting the wine, spirits, beer, hospitality, food, and events industries. Its clients include DO Rías Baixas, Don Melchor, Echolands Winery, Hammeken, Ricasoli, Yarden Wines,  George Remus Bourbon, Rossville Union Rye Whiskey, Till American Wheat Vodka, Founders Brewing Co. and The Spearhead Group.
