Chase enters the hard seltzer category

English ‘field to bottle’ distillery Chase in Herefordshire has entered the burgeoning hard seltzer category with a trio of flavoured gin seltzers.

Called Chase’s Gin Seltzer, the trio have a Chase gin base and are made with sparkling water sourced on the family farm.

Inspiired by gin botanicals, the three flavours in the range are: Seville Orange, Pink Grapefruit, and London Dry & Lemon. All three contain no artificial ingredients and 89 carlories per 250ml can.

On sale today via the Chase website, a pack of three costs £7.50 while a 12-pack will set you back £30. The range is aimed at on-the-go, health-conscious millennials, and Chase hopes the launch will widen the brand’s reach to a new auidence of drinkers.

Distillery director James Chase decided to develop the range after seeing how popualr hard seltzers were while living in the US then clocking the wellness boom back in the UK.

“Consumers are becoming increasingly health-conscious, and for those seeking a low-calorie alternative to wine, beer and cider, chase’s Gin Seltzers are ideal,” he said.

“The range is designed for those active, on-the-go individuals that want to enjoy a drink without compromising their healthy lifestyle.”
