Christie’s to hold a ‘gentlemen-themed’ online sale

At the end of June, auction house Christie’s will hold a cross-category online sale, comprising “gentlemen’s favourite” rare whiskies, watches and fashion items.

A s increasing numbers of online auctions are being held, Christie’s upcoming sale, entitled “The Gentleman: Watches, Whiskies and Accessories”, could catch the eye of discerning collectors.

Intended to bring “an array of exquisite collectibles that redefine the art of fine living, luxury and craftsmanship”, the sale will offer a wide selection of auction items ranging from Patek Philippe timepieces and Bulgari cufflinks to Hermès handbags.

Selected premium whiskies from highly sought-after distilleries such as Karuizawa and The Macallan will be featured as well, including The Macallan Anniversary Malt 25-Year-Old 1967 (guide price of HK$38,000 to 55,000) and Karuizawa Samurai 30-Year-Old Cask no. 7963 (guide price of HK$38,000 to 55,000)．

Christie’s will stage its first major wine and spirit sale of the year in July. Apart from wines and whiskies from top producers, the sale will also present a range of sakes for the first time.
