Brewdog just opened its first hotel in the US – take a look

Scottish-born craft beer giant Brewdog has just opened its first international hotel in Columbus, Ohio, as the brewer continues to develop its international presence.

The 32-room DogHouse will feature beer taps in each room and a built-in shower beer fridge amongst many other features that make for the “ultimate immersive beer utopia,” according to a statement from the company.

Brewdog’s US arm has also unveiled an on-site, interactive beer museum, which “provides a journey through the brewing process, a deep dive into the history of craft beer, and a hands-on experience of ‘the fundamental four’ ingredients that contribute to the creation of a craft beer.”

Plans for the DogHouse were first released in in March 2017, when the company launched a US crowdfunding campaign to raise $75,000 in one month, but eventually went on to secure secure over $300k for the hotel in donations from beer fans around the world.

The news comes as Brewdog has begun to open bars and breweries in a number of international locations.

According to Brewdog, 500 reservations have already been made by donors from its crowdfunding campaign. Guests will receive a complimentary beer on arrival.

The expansive space has been designed in typical Brewdog fashion, with a mix of industrial-style finishings and furniture that wouldn’t look out of place in a UK pub.
