Cork Supply launches new TCA-free line with buy back guarantee

Closures manufacturer Cork Supply has launched a new line of TCA-free products, VINC taint-free, which comes with a buy back guarantee should a buyer receive a tainted cork.

Cork Supply was the first closure company to offer a bottle buy back guarantee for natural corks in 2015, with aNy customer receiving a tainted cork able to return the bottle for inspection and a refund of the retail release price of the wine.

Now, the producer is offering the same guarantee for its VINC taint-free (at 0.5ng/litre or less) technical corks, launched from the company’s Technical Cork Plant which opened in 2016.

It completes Cork Supply’s portfolio of TCA-free closures which includes the DS100 natural cork, the DS100+ natural cork, and the CS Cuvée 0+2 DS100 cork.

“At Cork Supply, our vision is to produce quality closures that add value to the industry,” said Jochen Michalski, who founded Cork Supply in 1981.

“The VINC closure line is the result of our focused research and development efforts. The closures are produced 100% from our own high quality raw cork materials with state-of-the-art individual moulding technologies. Our new, improved VAPEX process ensures that all wines bottled with VINC corks are TCA taint free** at a more cost-effective price than comparable products on the market.”

The VINC family currently includes three different technical corks: VINC with granules sized 0.5 to 2.0 mm and suited to shelf life of up to 3 years; VINC + with granules sized 0.5 to 1.0 mm for a shelf life of up to 5 years; and VINC Cuvée for sparkling wines with granules from 0.5 to 2.0 mm and suited to a shelf life up to 2 years.
