Hello Kitty releases new wines in USA just in time for Christmas period
For true fans of the sweet stuff, Hello Kitty has launched a new range of wines in the US just in time for Christmas.
The latest line-up includes a Pinot Noir, a “Sweet Pink” blended sparkling rosé, Pinot Nero vinified in white, and a special edition sparkling rosé with limited edition packaging.
Each bottle comes adorned with the Hello Kitty cartoon logo, a symbol which has become recognisable worldwide. Hello Kitty is a “global pop icon with fans of all ages and an ever-growing selection of lifestyle products,” according to the brand’s website.
They are currently only available in selected US supermarkets and shipped within the US.
The bottles retail between $24.50 (£18) to $29.95 (£22.40) each, or you can also buy a case of all five bottles from the range for around £109.
Hello Kitty wines are Imported By California’s Mission Wine Company.
This isn’t the first time the world-famous cartoon cat became the face of a wine label. In 2013 Hello Kitty Champagne launched onto the global market after making its debut at the Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Fair.
The fizz, called Cuvée Spéciale and created by Champagne M.Hostomme, is a demi-sec rosé Champagne made of 50% Pinot Noir, 30% Pinot Meunier and 20% Chardonnay.
