Disney starts selling wine slushies

While Disney World is a magical experience for kids, adults can now get their kicks there too as amusement park in Florida has started selling wine slushies.

The boozy beverage has gone on sale at Amorette’s Patisserie in Disney Springs and has already racked up over 8,000 likes on Amorette’s Instagram account. The slushies come in two flavours: Strawberry Shiraz and Mango Moscato.

In addition to the wine-laced slushies, the restaurant also sells sweet and savoury crêpes, an assortment of pastries and Mickey Mouse-shaped brownies.

Disney started selling alcohol back in 2012 at a French restaurant within the theme park called Be Our Guest where you can buy a selection of wines from France and California along with Belgian beers.

In 2014 Disneyland Paris teamed up with Champagne Lanson to release a special cuvée exclusive to the French theme park to mark the opening of its new Ratatouille attraction.

A year earlier it emerged that Disneyland boasts a private members club inside its California theme park with annual fees costing US$10,000 a year.

Club 33 in New Orleans Square, named after its address on 33 Royal Street counts Tom Cruise, Tom Hanks, Elton John and Michael Jackson among its previous patrons.

Among the wines on sale at the club are Robert Mondavi Fumé Blanc, Cakebread Sauvignon Blanc, Far Niente Chardonnay, Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon, Duckhorn Merlot, Grgich Hills Zinfandel and Saintsbury Pinot Noir.
