Wine range for dogs launched

Following the opening of London’s first bar for dogs comes news of the launch of a non-alcoholic wine range for our four-legged friends.

Created by American company Apollo Peak, the range includes a ‘Chardognay’, ‘Malbark’ and ‘Zinfantail’, along with a ‘Champagne’ made with chicken and apple, and a ‘Doggy Mary’ cocktail made with natural bacon flavour.

The brainchild of Apollo Peak founder Brandon Zavala, the non-alcoholic wines have been designed specifically to relax your furry friends, with the addition of relaxant ingredients like peppermint to put them in a mellow mood.

The Chardognay includes organic yellow beets, while the Malbark features red beets. All of the ‘wines’ are made in Colorado with 100% natural ingredients and fresh mountain water.

The 8-ounce wines cost $9.95, while the Doggy Mary and Champagne cost $11.95 and are available on the Apollo Peak website.

Last year Zavala released a range of wines for cats – a Pinot Meow and a MosCATo made with organic catnip and designed to be a stimulant.

Just last month London’s first bar for dogs, Pawsecco, opened at The Pet Pavilion at Chelsea Farmers Market.

The bar sells ‘Pawsecco’ a non-alcoholic juice drink made from elderflower, nettle, ginseng designed for cats and dogs, and Bottom Sniffer, a non-alcoholic beer beer made from dandelion and burdock.
