Duck & Waffle launches 12 Drinks of Christmas menu

In a bid to get grumpy Londoners into the festive spirit, Duck & Waffle’s Rich Woods has launched a fun new menu celebrating the 12 drinks of Christmas.

Running throughout December, Woods has created a dozen new Christmas-themed cocktails for the 24-hour restaurant in the Heron Tower.

The liquid alchemist has captured the essence of Christmas via winter ingredients like walnuts, chestnuts, pine, smoke, hay and minced pie liqueur.

“It’s the holiday season again – a time inspired by festivities, food, fellowship and coming together. This list incorporates flavours regularly associated with this celebratory time of year with a unique twist,” Woods said.

Earlier this year he caused a stir with a daring summer menu that featured the likes of ants, banana skins and burnt toast.

Called Urban Foraging vs. Urban Decay, the dual cocktail list featured ingredients foraged from London’s urban jungle like tree bark and cut grass, alongside food we usually throw away, like tomato stalks and avocado skins.

Woods recently took part in a successful, weeklong Duck & Waffle pop-up at the Ozone bar on the 118th floor of The Ritz Carlton in Hong Kong.

Winter Spiced Champagne Cocktail

Two Turtle Doves

A sharing cocktail featuring a White Milk Punch made with vodka, orange, cacao, clarified milk, citrus; and a Dark Milk Punch laced with Bourbon, cocoa nib, chocolate and clarified burnt milk.

Pickled Chestnut Manhattan

Woodford Reserve Bourbon, sweet vermouth, charred chestnut infusion, chestnut brine

Pumpkin & Honeyed Chestnut Bellini

Roasted pumpkin, honeyed chestnut, Prosecco

Scotch Pine
