London’s ‘naked’ restaurant to go permanent
Having caused pulses to rise when it popped up this summer, London’s first ‘naked’ restaurant, The Bunyadi, is to return with a permanent site.

As reported by the Evening Standard, founder Seb Lyall is on the prowl for a permanent site after the three-month pop-up in Elephant & Castle proved such a success.
Billed as “London’s first naked food experience”, the pop-up encouraged diners to disrobe at the door and leave their clothes in lockers.
The concept is the brainchild of Lollipop, the company behind ABQ, a pop-up cocktail lab in an RV trailer inspired by hit TV show Breaking Bad.
The Bunyadi aimed to take diners back to basics in a canopied space filled with candles, bamboo and wicker. Working with natural and home-grown ingredients, the restaurant was free from phones, electric lights and clothing, though dining naked wasn’t obligatory.

The permanent site will echo the pop-up’s format of serving grilled meats on a wood fire and raw foods served on handmade clay crockery will edible cutlery.
The news follows the launch of a naked rooftop bar this summer overlooking Big Ben, featuring a trampoline, inflatables and sun loungers.
