Grand Central Terminal opens wine-to-go eatery
A unique eatery has opened up on the ground floor of New York’s Grand Central Terminal train station.
Backed by Restaurateur Donatella Arpaia, Prova Pizzabar boasts the only lower level space in the terminal capable of offering full-service dining as well as holding a takeout and liquor licence, according to the New York Post.

Andres Iniesta to press ahead with wine business
The unique aspect of this venture sees them giving customers the opportunity to sit down and dine in a well as getting wine or cocktails to go along with their pizza that are served in an “adult sippy cup” which has been packaged and designed to be consumed while commuting.
“We have really cool adult wine sippy cups. We’re really excited about it,” said Arpaia. “This is my first foray into upscale quick service. Our pizza chef hasn’t slept in weeks.”
Prova will have a wide range of drinks on offer, including an array of craft beers and cocktails, with one of the standout wines being a $14 glass of 2012 Renieri Inverto Toscana IGT.
Arpaia’s Chelsea-based Prova closed its doors late last year, but she explains that her new eatery was chosen from around 320 people who applied for the licence from the MTA. That number was then processed down to 10 names, which then led to three finalists, who were all made to prepare tastings for the MTA board.
