Kerry Wines takes on Lapostolle

The Hong Kong fine wine importer has announced it has just become Lapostolle’s exclusive distributor in the Greater China region.

Speaking to the drinks business HK, Eric Desgouttes, general manager of Kerry Wines Greater China said: “We are passionate wine lovers who aim to make the world of fine wines accessible, and easy to understand. At the core of our business are the beliefs of provenance and a thoughtful selection of quality wine brands.”

“We are honoured to add this iconic Chilean estate to our portfolio and believe that Lapostolle’s fierce commitment to quality shares the same philosophy as our company.”

Lapostolle was founded by Alexandra Marnier Lapostolle and her husband Cyril de Bournet in 1994. The Marnier Lapostolle family have been involved in winemaking for generations and are the founders of the world-renowned liqueur, Grand Marnier.

Lapostolle’s Clos Apalta wine has been placed in the top three of Wine Spectator‘s ‘Top 100’ on a number of occasions and Lapostolle was also awarded as “New World Winery of the Year 2008” by Wine Enthusiast.

It occupies over 360 hectares in three different vineyards in the Casablanca, Cachapoal and Colchagua Valleys and is 100% certified organic as well as adopting biodynamic practices in the vineyards.

Kerry Wines was founded in Hong Kong in 2010 and now has offices in Beijing, Shenzhen, Shanghai and Hong Kong. The distribution area covered by Kerry Wines for Lapostolle includes Mainland China, Macau and Hong Kong.
