Online retailer to highlight ‘hidden gems’

A new online boutique wine importer and retailer Perfect Cellar has opened for business, seeking to make luxury wines “accessible to everyone.”

Frenchman Moez Seraly sought to bring his favourite wines from locations off the beaten track to the UK market, which he is seeking to achieve with perfectcellar.com.

The aim is to help UK customers build their own “perfect cellar” with a wide selection of fine wines from prices starting at £8 per bottle, many of which cannot be found anywhere else in the UK.

Many of the wines feature biodynamic practices and involve taking an organic approach to winemaking, such as treating fertility and livestock care in an ecological way.

The products are presented with an interactive and educational approach and photography that highlights the tasting notes of each individual bottle.

Wines featured on the site are mainly from boutique vineyards and low yield estates in France, Spain, Portugal and Italy but also from Canada, South Africa and New Zealand.

In July the company also hopes to launch a wine club, following the same principle as the website. Each member of the club will be appointed a sommelier who will curate the clients “perfect cellar” with six or twelve bottles delivered every month.
