Princely wines to go on sale at Harrods
By Simon HowlandHarrods are to launch a collection of Château Haut-Brion wines from the cellar of Prince Robert of Luxembourg.
Château Haut-Brion is one of Bordeaux’s highly regarded first growths.
The Elegance of Time Collection is limited to six pieces and consists of three single bottles of Haut-Brion from three of the Bordeaux Château’s finest vintages: 1961, 1982 and 1989.
The collections are made up of wines drawn directly from the cellars of Prince Robert of Luxembourg, the owner of Château Haut-Brion.
Speaking to the drinks business, Harrods wine buyer Edward Gerard expressed his satisfaction at being able to offer such exclusive wines: “We are delighted that, not only are we able to offer our clients the chance to own three of the greatest wines ever produced, but also to launch a product that emphasises our commitment to delivering innovative products with established provenance.”

The bottles will be presented in a bespoke, walnut-wood luxury case that has been hand produced in a Swiss workshop and the case can be converted into a storage box for a fine-watch collection once it is no longer used to house wine.
The Elegance of Time Collection will go on sale later this month.
The collections will be priced at £9,995 each and go on sale on 22 October, during Harrods’ Prestige Bordeaux tasting when Harrods will also be opening a number of rare classed growths – including several older vintages – for customers to taste throughout the evening.
