BBR opens Albert Hall bar

The Albert Hall in London has joined forces with wine merchant Berry Bros & Rudd to launch a bar on the historic concert venue’s ground floor.

Berry Bros & Rudd No.3 Bar

The Berry Bros & Rudd No.3 Bar will serve the Albert Hall’s 1.5 million visitors a range of the merchant’s wines and spirits, including its own brand No.3 Gin and a selection of classic cocktails.

Working with the hall’s in-house caterers, the bar will offer a menu of dishes including meat or cheese sharing platters, salads, smoked salmon blinis and sandwiches.

Although the merchant was already supplying a number of products to the venue, BBR chairman Simon Berry said: “We were surprised and delighted when we were invited by the management of the Royal Albert Hall to open a bar.” He promised: “Whatever your taste in music or entertainment, I am sure that we can satisfy your taste for something to drink.”

Describing the newly renovated bar as “another beautiful space providing the best in visitor experiences,” Jasper Hope, COO of the Royal Albert Hall, said: “Finding partners who share a rich history and a contemporary approach is always challenging but in Berry Bros. & Rudd we have a perfect match.”

Opening two hours before every performance, the Berry Bros & Rudd No.3 Bar will also serve food and drink during the interval, remaining open after the show as well for certain concerts.
