The brand has commissioned a special project to better understand the UK consumer, striving to deliver what Champagne drinkers are looking for.

Lanson also presented its first category report to the market. Its Champagne guide, the Little Black Book of Champagne, published in 2010 to commemorate its 250th anniversary, continues to gain popularity with consumers.

Launching this summer is an extension to the popular range of Lanson Extra Age cuvées, with a new Blanc de Blancs.

Other new line releases are expected for 2012.

    Is it a true statement that the word “Champaign” is the Original word owned by Champagne France?

    All white sparkling wines made in America, etc. have to legally state origin of the sparkling wine as well.
    Example : “American Champagne”

    • all the champagnes are sparkling wine but all sparkling wines not the champagne because there is a wine region in France which is called champagne those sparkling wines produce in this region called champagne & rest all wine region in the world can produce only sparkling wines not the champagne

    The United States was in prohibition when that treaty was signed , they never did! So technically the U.S. wine makers can call their sparkling wine anything they want!

    Sperkling wine> the white sperkling wine from champagne reagion which has been processed by methode champonnaise is called champagne.that means all the champagne are sperkling wine but not all sperkling wine are champagne. Thank you so much.
