SWA challenges German ‘Glen’ whisky

The Scotch Whisky Association has challenged the use of the word ‘Glen’ on a whisky made by a German distillery on the grounds that it is an infringement of Scotch’s protected status.

SWA confirms record Scotch exports in 2017

Global exports of Scotch whisky grew in both volume and value (by 1.6% and 8.9% respectively) in 2017 to a total of £4.36 billion, smashing a previous export high of £4.2bn in 2012.
