Vinoteca is an exclusive event, dedicated to the promotion of Italian wines in the UK. The format, first conceived in 2013 by The Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the UK, is a fantastic opportunity to take a splash in the world of Italian fine wines. Throughout the day, importers, distributors, buyers, agents and sommeliers will meet Italian companies who will present and discuss some of their best wines. Not only this, but with the presence of journalists and experts in the sector, Vinoteca today stands as one of the main London events for Made in Italy wine.

The 2015 edition once again will welcome the participation of Gambero Rosso®, a leading company in the Italian wine & food industry, and one of the main go-to points for enthusiasts all over the world. Their time in London will make up part of the “Vini d’Italia Tour”, a trip based on the guide which talks about some of the most distinguished cellars in Italian wine production. Many of the exhibitors at Vinoteca will therefore have won the Tre Bicchieri and l’Oscar Qualitá Prezzo awards, and during the day there shall be two exclusive master classes taking place dedicated to them.

The third edition of Vinoteca will also have a special focus on the Basilicata region, a producer of great wines such as Aglianico del Vulture, but also lesser known wines to the UK market. Thanks to the participation of Sviluppo Basilicata – a company which supports the development of the Basilicata region as a whole – ten specially selected companies will enrich the already excellent list of exhibitors at Vinoteca, and there will be a specific masterclass dedicated to them, led by a renowned UK sommelier.

The collaboration of these groups, all experts in promoting Made in Italy abroad, means that the wines on show will be of an excellent quality, many of which will be either great value for money, or have that certain something which makes them unique, such as pure Italian grapes or organic ingredients.
