Hallgarten celebrates ‘Women with Bottle’

Specialist wine importer Hallgarten has launched a ‘Women with Bottle’ campaign to honour the female winemakers in its portfolio in celebration of International Women’s Day.

Targeted at independent retailers and the on-trade, the Women with Bottle campaign began on 1 March and will run for three months. It has been scheduled to coincide with Mothering Sunday on 6 March and International Women’s Day on 8 March.

Seventeen female winemakers in the Hallgarten portfolio will be highlighted, with the wine selection including products from Old World regions France, Italy and Germany, as well as some more esoteric offerings from countries such as South Africa and Japan.

“Some of the best wines in the Hallgarten portfolio are made by women, so it’s about time we shouted about these great wines and the women behind them – they’ve taken the helm in a historically male environment and we’re proud to represent them in the UK,” said Beverly Tabbron MW, Hallgarten’s head of training and education.

As part of its Women with Bottle campaign, Hallgarten will offer a ’12 for 11′ promotion on selected wines, as well as producing bespoke digital and social media content, including winemaker Q&As and profiles.
