Morgenhof joins Louis Latour

Louis Latour Agencies has announced it has added South African estate Morgenhof to its portfolio.

Located just outside Stellenbosch, Morgenhof Estate is one of the country’s oldest wineries, with a history dating back to 1692.

The vineyard today is owned by Anne Cointreau, part of the family that owns Champagne Gosset and Frapin Cognac – both brands which Louis Latour took on as UK distributor last year.

Morgenhof is well-known for its old vine Chenin Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot estate red. These and its Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay will all be available through Louis Latour and available to taste at the company’s portfolio tasting in London on 3 February.

Will Oatley, managing director of Louis Latour Agencies, commented: “We are very pleased to welcome Morgenhof Estate to the Louis Latour Agencies portfolio.  Their wines represent the key attributes we value here at Latour with quality and family-ownership at their heart”.
