LWF adds pop-up tasting area for 2016

The London Wine Fair has announced it is to launch a new pop-up tasting area for 2016 for those not exhibiting at the fair, with Wine Australia and Napa Valley Vintners already signed up to take part.

Running alongside the fair’s programme of masterclasses, industry briefings and Speakers’ Corner sessions, Pop-Up Tastings will give those not exhibiting at the fair the chance to host tastings.

This new area, located at the front of the Grand Hall, will be a flexible space capable of hosting seated presentations for 80 or free-pour tastings for 200 standing.

Ross Carter, the show’s director, said: “This new feature will add to the breadth and sense of discovery so important to the Fair. Content sessions have, in the past, been restricted to those exhibiting, but we have always had requests for companies wishing to participate in a very specific way for a short period of time, so we felt a more flexible Pop-Up space would be a perfect solution.”

The Pop-Up Tastings area can be booked by companies and organisations not exhibiting at the Fair with one hour sessions priced at £2,500 each, which includes all tasting facilities. Half days can also be booked at a reduced hourly fee. To date, Napa Valley Vintners and Wine Australia have booked a series of tastings. For more information contact Bob Davidson on +44 (0)20 7973 4668, or r.davidson@hgluk.com

The 36th London Wine Fair will run from Tuesday, 3rd to Thursday, 5th May 2016 at London’s Kensington Olympia.
