iDealwine hosts charity sale in aid of Paris victims

Online auctioneer iDealwine is selling 14 double-magnums from Graves estates with all profits going to victims of the Paris attacks.

Launched yesterday (1 December) the sale will continue until 11 December with all proceeds going to the charity ‘GiveForFrance – Ensemble contre le terrorisme’.

The sale arose following the terrorist attacks in Paris on 13 November. On the 15 of last month producers in Graves gathered for the 25th edition of the ‘Accabeilles des Crus Classés de Graves’ to celebrate the end of the harvest (‘accabar’ in Occitan).

Despite the events of the previous Friday, the dinner went ahead and it was decided that the 14 double magnums usually given to lucky guests at the end of the evening would instead be auctioned off and the proceeds donated to the families of the victims.

The wines to be offered are:

Château Bouscaut 2004 (red)
Château Carbonnieux 2010 (red)
Château Couhins 2014 (white)
Château Couhins Lurton 2012 (blanc)
Domaine de Chevalier 1995 (red)
