Casillero in second ‘Wine legend’ campaign

Chilean wine brand Casillero del Diablo has announced the latest instalment of its ‘Wine Legend’ campaign, which is set to launch in the UK in mid-December.

A new 100-second advertisement, shot on location in Budapest, Paris, Venice, in Asia and at the “devil’s cellar” in Chile, portrays Casillero as a wine protected by the devil and as “the wine which cannot be stolen”.

Evoking the movie style of the previous ad, it will launch on Sky’s drama channel in the week of 14 December during the transmission of new show Last Panthers.

A 30-second campaign will also feature during a number of films on Channel 5, plus drama, sport, food and lifestyle across the Sky channel portfolio.

The first Wine Legend campaign won several awards for Casillero del Diablo in 2014, including the Best Consumer Campaign at The Drinks Business Awards.

Laura Thomas,marketing manager for brand owner Concha y Toro in the UK, says: “We’re really thrilled to be launching Casillero del Diablo’s biggest ever TV campaign, and look forward to seeing the added impact on our sales – which have already been outstanding in 2015.”

Casillero del Diablo is the biggest selling Chilean wine brand in the UK.
