Online wine members site launches Christmas flash sale

Independent online retailer Your Sommelier is holding its first flash sale for fine wine and Champagne.

The wine members’ site, which was founded in 2014 and specializes in French wines and champagnes, will offer wines from across its supplier base between 9 – 21 December, with deliveries guaranteed before Christmas.

It usually offers weekly sales to its members, which run for a week and offer a range of selected wines from a new producer ever week. Once orders have been collected, these are then shipped direct from the supplier, with delivery arrives three weeks after the end of each sale.

Your Sommelier co-founder Celian Ravel d’Estienne said customers were happy to wait for the weekly sales as it allowed the site to keep costs down by shipping direct from the producers, but said Christmas was a good time to offer something new. “It will give our customers the opportunity to pick from a selection of exciting and affordable wines, all delivered in time for Christmas,” he said.

Wines included in the flash sale include a Blanc de Blanc and Brut Rosé from small family champagne house Gimonnet-Gonet, a Saint Véran 2013, Domaine de Pouilly, Pouilly-Fumé Classique 2013, Domaine Hubert Brochard, L’Autre Blanc 2014, Domaine d’Aigues Belles, Cuvée Lombarde 2012, Domaine d’Aigues Belles and Châteauneuf-du-Pape Cuvée des Deux Soeurs 2012, Domaine Tour St Miche.
