HK’s Altaya wines present 10th annual tasting

Over 60 renowned wineries from around the globe will be available at premium wine merchant Altaya’s annual November tasting in Hong Kong.

Held on 20 November at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, Altaya Wines will present over 250 wines from Australia, Chile, France, Italy, New Zealand and the USA with over half of the wines available solely in Hong Kong.

Well-known for its extensive French portfolio, Altaya introduces wines from Bordeaux, Burgundy, Champagne, Alsace and the Rhône Valley as well as top vintages from Bordeaux greats including 2003 Pichon Baron, 2003 Cos d’Estournel, 2000 Clerc Milon, 2010 Haut Bailly and 2005 Léoville Las Cases.

Wines from Burgundy include Alain Chavy, Dujac, Jean-Jacques Confuron, Comtes Lafon, Vincent Girardin, Faiveley and Billaud Simon.

Champagnes on offer will encompass Lenoble, Pol Roger – including its iconic cuvée, Sir Winston Churchill – and Salon.

“The Altaya Wines Annual Tasting has built a reputation for the diversity, quality and variety of wines shown. This year, with over 250 wines available for tasting from all over the world, we are offering wine-lovers a chance to journey across continents to discover the astonishing range and variety of wine available here in Hong Kong,” said Paulo Pong, managing director of Altaya Wines.

Early-bird tickets are available before 6 November for HK$590 which includes a Riedel glass. Tickets purchased after 7 November will be available online and at the event for HK$690.
