Spink announces August Singapore sale

Auction house Spink has announced its latest Singapore sale, which will feature rare rum, whiskies, Cognac and wine.

Entitled “An Evening of Selected Rums, Fine Wines, Whiskies and Cognacs”, Spink’s latest sale will take place in the Marina Bay Sands, Helinocia Ballroom in Singapore on 15 August.

“It is only fitting that in such grand surroundings we celebrate the 50th anniversary of Singapore with a sale of premium quality that is the epitome of those two finest of attributes: patience and heritage,” said the UK auction house.

Fine wine lots include a Magnum of 1990 Margaux estimated at S$2,000 and 12-bottle case of 100pt RP rated 2000 Ausone in the original wooden case,starting from S$18,000 and with anticipated maturity of 2020-2075.

Elsewhere, bidders can snap up a 21 year old Hibiki – ‘Banquet of the Peak’, starting from S$1,500 and of which there are only 2,000 bottles in existence as well as a 37 year old Demerara Rum from Guyana and with an estimate of S$1,150.

The Cognac line up encompasses a Louis XIII released in the early 1970s in a crystal decanter with a starting price of S$3,900 and a Louis XIII released in the early 1980s offered with a degusation class, vintage red presentation case and certificate.
