HDH has made the announcement following a “monumental” two day sale last weekend, featuring 1,773 lots which made $4.9m overall and that was 99.8% sold by volume.

The sale featured a collection of Dom Pérignon direct from the cellar the high point of which was a collection of 11 vintages of Plénitude 3 (P3) made $234,937. Three magnums of 1990 rosé P3 made $11,353.

A “17-vintage library” of Screaming Eagle sold for $103,965 and there was impressive bidding for Burgundy from Domaine de la Romanée-Conti and Henri Jayer, while nine bottles of 1961 Haut-Brion made $17,925.

“The US continues to represent the largest percentage of the global wine auction market in 2015,” remarked CEO Paul Hart.

“We’re proud to retain our status as America’s top auction house through the first half of the year—a status we’ve earned thanks to the continued loyalty and respect from the world’s most important collectors.”
